No. According to the notification, applications ran from 20 April 2026 to 19 May 2026, and that window has ended. A closed deadline is final, so nobody can legitimately add you after it.

The useful part is what you can do now. Eligibility rules, test stages and physical standards often follow a similar pattern from one drive to the next, though you must always read the new notification carefully when it comes out.

Age limit

Age rules were different for drivers and for other trades, so reading the right line for your post is important. Candidates in the reserved categories got extra years of relaxation, which can make the difference between eligible and not eligible.

Educational qualification

Physical standards

CRPF is a field force, so the physical standards matter as much as exam marks. Many candidates clear the written test and still get rejected at the measurement or medical stage, so check your height, chest and eyesight early. Some categories, such as ST and North-East candidates, get relaxation.

Candidates also need good physical and mental health, with no knock knees or flat feet. The notification stated that candidates with disabilities were not eligible for this recruitment, so read that point carefully if it applies to you.

CBT pattern and syllabus

The written test was a Computer Based Test of Matriculation standard, available in English and Hindi. It had four equal sections, so you cannot afford to ignore any one subject. Because there is negative marking, guessing blindly is risky.

How to apply (when the portal was open)

The process was fully online through the official recruitment portal. It looked long, but it is simple if you keep your documents ready before you begin. Most rejections happen because of small mistakes in the form, not because candidates were ineligible.

Register on rect.crpf.gov.in with your email ID, mobile number and name exactly as on your Matriculation certificate
Fill in personal, address and education details, choose your post, and upload your photo and signature (JPG, 50 to 100 KB each) and your certificates (JPG, JPEG or PDF)
Pay the fee if applicable, review everything, submit, and save the confirmation printout

Application fee

The fee was small, and many candidates were exempt. It could be paid online by card, net banking, UPI or CSC wallet. The key rule is that the only money CRPF asks for is this official fee.

Physical preparation

The physical test is where many candidates fail, so start early. Running 5 km in 24 minutes needs a steady pace and stamina, and you cannot build that in a week. Aim to start three to four months before the test and add speed work slowly, so you do not get injured.

Start physical preparation gradually instead of trying to achieve the required running time in just a few days. Build stamina through regular practice, include rest days and increase your running distance at a comfortable pace. Proper sleep, hydration and balanced meals also support training. If you have an existing injury or health concern, seek appropriate medical advice before beginning intensive exercise.

Run daily and slowly increase your distance and speed until 5 km in 24 minutes feels comfortable
Add strength exercises, stretching and yoga to build endurance and avoid injury
Keep your weight proportionate to your height and eat and sleep well

Academic preparation

The CBT is Matriculation level, so you do not need advanced books. Regular daily practice in all four sections works better than a few long study days. Since each section carries 25 marks, a weak section can pull down your whole score.

General knowledge: read the daily news, learn basic Indian geography and know the history and role of CRPF

If you applied for a trade post, the trade test can decide your result, since you need at least 20 out of 50 to qualify. The best preparation is hands-on practice with real tools or work. Videos help, but they cannot replace doing the job yourself.

Fraudsters may use the name of a government organisation to promise guaranteed selection in exchange for money. CRPF recruitment must be followed through the official process, and no agent can legitimately guarantee a job.

Can I apply for more than one post?
